Long overdue picture. I started working on this when I saw that Capcom released pictures for their new Rockman game: ZX. I found this guy among the released shots. News say he's called Silve and he transforms into that Zero like form (Model Z) *shrug*. I think what I find interesting about this guy is that coffee cup of his. This picture came to mind just a few hours after seing it. Now, I know that Capcom is going for the whole, none-genderspesific style with thease games, but it's getting hard trying to make this guy actually look male. After being exposed to this way of drawing for so long, I don't react to it that much anymore I guess. It's still a pain to make though.

The reason I didn't finish this right away was something as simple as a background. I couldn't make up my mind and ended up stalling. I finally figured that I could use my smudge style to fill it in and finish it up. I really want to update my gallery more often, but I'm still in a slump. I'll go into detail as soon as I get myself to update my journal. Once again, if you have any ideas. Don't hesitate to note me.

Well, that enough babbling. Now you may stare at the picture, if you like. :)

Otherwise, I hope you don't mind me saying, as your brother, friend and greatest critic - I don't think this picture was too good. I find it a bit boring, sorry...

"and greatest critic" I'll second that :P You are free to your opinion, of course. Can't say I'm too happy with the way the background came out. It gives it a sort of mixed message. Still, I think it's better than the old "wall with genereic pattern" thing I had originally planned.

I suspect it's some sort of super coffee. Made of consentrated expresso and hallucinogenic fungi.

If I saw that thing in my mug, I'd probably make a generic sissy howl and then, after a brief pause ask how he could fit in there.

Don't know how the trasforation process works, but I imagine it includes more flashing lights and less coffee mugs. *shrug*

OK, I thought I'd elaborate, because I didnt' really tell you what I think you could improve...

First of all, the lineart is a lot more messy than usual. Some places it's smooth and bold, but mostly it's messy and grayish. In particularly the face of the coffee-guy looks peculiar methinks. Second, the background is maybe more elaborate than you normally bother to do, but I think it clashes with the rest of the picture.

There is a lot of movement and some cool shading with the genie-type, that's true. But overall... :no: :hmm:
