Gutsman 05 by Imson Gutsman 05 by Imson
It's been a while since I've done a proper painting

This is the result of sketching a lot of random scenes. All I knew was that it was going to be something large, but when I noticed the "jaw" had a similar look to a certain bulky robot, the picture kind of created itself.

I just thought it was an interesting idea to have a version of the Megaman universe where the other robots are actually grossly superior to you. Figured it would make for some interesting elements.

Also, rats are apparently fun to draw. Who knew!

This reminds me of a fan-fiction a friend of mine wrote back in the Bob and George fan comic days, she took the story given by the original box art and had that rockman (later called megaman by the media) battle the industrial robot masters, they were all described like a cross between the original robot masters and the machines that would have been part of their work like what you do here, a software hardware combo. It was a crazy story, she even used the original 200X timestamp to tie into global politics, specifically having Willy lose his family 8 years before when the WTC was hit, bit of grief to propel his insanity.

Thanks for making this hope you do more soon, i can just see ice man stalking mega man on a snowy tundra.

Good god. I love Guts Man, all time favorite (even though his weapon in the game is trash). But this take on him is epic.

The thing I love about the Megaman series is it's abillity to reinvent itself, so this was created in the same vein.

This is so true, and explains why there is so many fan-creations involving it.
