After the last submission, I was still in a drawing mood, but couldn't settle on something spesific. After some sketching, I decided to just scribble out some random lines and see what I could make out of it.
So this will turn into something (in fact, it's almost ready) but I figured I'd give you the chance to guess what it'll turn into. Seemed people enjoyed it the last time I did it.
Stay tuned!
EDIT:
And here it is! Actually held on to it a bit longer to get people wondering. Because I'm awesome like that.
Yes. I see a girl scuba diver in a dress being approached by a large eel. Why? Who knows.
I decided from the start I was going to do this in black and white crosshatching, something I've been planning to do for a submission for ages, but it always turned into something different. That being said, I should really have done this on paper since it's quick to do proper crosshatching that way, but since I started out with some random scribble in photoshop, I continued from there. Took ages redrawing the lines from the initial sketch, but it turned out fairly ok.
The way the lines turned out didn't work that well for colouring though, as I had an entirely different shading method in mind. However, just leaving it black and white seemed a bit unfinished, so I went for a subtle grayscale so I could keep the lines as they were.
Some great suggestions by the way. Almost tempted to try some of them, but we'll see.
Love the expression on the girl's face! XD Priceless!
Looks like an underwater version of Little Red Riding Hood. On her way to her grandma who lives in a round bungalow beneath the sea, she wanders off the beaten path to look at some anemones and is surprised by some eels lurking in the shadows of the coral. Me likes lotsies! And black and white; Not unfinished ^^ I like plain, black and white pictures. You did awesome with the grayscale on this one
I may not possess any expertise or experience or knowledge about diving, but I don't think a dress is all that practical for the task. Slightly more relevantly, that eel is HORRIFYING.
