Noman's land

Something I've been wanting to finish colouring for a while now. This was a school assignment focusing on surrealism. The entire class had for some reason limited their insight in surrealism into complete focus on Salvador Dahli. Every picture I saw was an endless (boring) landscape with a few floating clocks and facial organs. I wanted to do something a little different. This is not really original, but considering what the others were making, I'm very happy with this.

Well, this reflects on the land we live on and the people that live on it. I didn't really want to give the picture any real deeper meaning. The entire point with this picture was for whoever that looked at it to think of it as an island and a person judgeing from how close they were. This thing is actually pretty big. I used a photograph since I couldn't scan it. (Well, actually, I have scanned it in three parts once and glued them together, but that version didn't really work out...) Since I coloured it and had to resize it a bit, it won't really have the same effect. I guess it works kind of like a Waldo picture now. You can study the entire thing and discover the little people and buildings.
