Joingame poster

So I was recently contacted by Joingame, a discussion forum for game developers, and one that I've held talks at myself in the past. They wanted a poster. I've always wanted to take a swing at it, so I made one. Science!

The posters have usually been circling around the theme of showing the developer interacting with their projects. Or just games interacting with the world in general, so at first I decided to go for a Developer-knight versus Project-dragon theme. I knew I wanted an angular look to it, since I've always kind of wanted to see how that would work in a poster, but as the concept progressed, it didn't really fit what I was going for.

Eventually, I settled for a developer shown almost joining in in the game world she has created. (A play on the Joingame name.) I put the knight and dragon in there as a reference to the previous concept (And hid Otus from Owlboy in there too, naturally.)

It was fun. I normally don't put my work up on this site, but things were not too tied down, so I'm making an exception. I can't say whether or not I'll be appearing at the gathering. Owlboy has me pretty tied down, but if anyone is in Trondheim at the proper time, I guess you'll find out!
